This upcoming Saturday is a big moment for me because I get to work with a friend that I met before I even stepped on stage. I remember meeting James through a mutual friend back in 2010 when I just moved to Los Angeles. At this point I never picked up a camera, I never performed comedy, but I just knew I wanted to be involved in the creative process. James had just put out the infamous "Baracka Flacka Flames Video" that went viral and had the internet buzzing. He let me get involved with his 2nd installment called Hit 'Em Up and after that we got to work on more projects. May 2012, I moved back to DC to further pursue comedy and film meanwhile James career took off, racking up all types of TV credits ranging from MTV's Nick Canon Wild N Out and BET's Real Husbands of Hollywood. After one year of performing I got an opportunity to film and perform in Aruba, so I reached out to James and was fortunate enough to get him to Headline the show. It was one of the best shows i've been apart of and here is a clip below of James Discussing his background in Comedy and some highlights from his set.
After the Aruba Show, I got another chance to work with James at the Baltimore Comedy Factory where he was headlining a weekend there and was cool enough to give me a guest spot. Getting a chance to see James Crush his one hour set, was motivation, and the guest spot I was given fortunately led to more spots at the club which I never performed at prior.
Now, We're working together on a show in my hometown, Washington DC where I'm hosting and he's headlining. Its been 5 years since we first met and I couldn't be more excited to see how the next 5 years pan out for the both of us.
